The striped bass, also called the Atlantic striped bass, striper, linesider, rock, or rockfish, is an anadromous perciform fish of the family Moronidae found primarily along the Atlantic coast of North America. It has also been widely introduced into inland recreational fisheries across the United States.
Striped bass has mild white meat with a medium texture. It is pan-seared, grilled, steamed, poached, roasted, broiled, or fried.
The striped bass is native to the Atlantic coast of North America, with major spawning runs in the Chesapeake Bay, Hudson River, and Delaware River. It has also been stocked widely in inland lakes and rivers across the United States.
