Description

Sea anemone is eaten in some places. In parts of Spain and Sardinia the snakelocks anemone is marinated in vinegar, battered like calamari, and deep-fried in olive oil, and it's also eaten in parts of Southeast Asia and China.

Sea anemones live in oceans worldwide, from shallow coastal water to the deep sea, with the most variety in the tropics and many cold-water species too. Most cling to rocks, shells, or submerged wood, while some burrow in sand or mud.
