Description
Viperfish aren't a food fish. They live in the deep sea and only turn up as bycatch.
Viperfish live in the deep ocean worldwide, in tropical and temperate waters including the Mediterranean. They sit in the twilight and midnight zones by day, around 400 meters down, and rise toward the surface at night.
