Description
Eagle rays are mostly large species that live in the open ocean rather than on the sea bottom. They usually stay close to the coast at depths of 1 to 30 m, though they've been found as deep as 300 m. Different species range across the eastern Atlantic, the Mediterranean, the North Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Pacific.
