Bullhead

Bullheads are seldom caught for food and seen as rough fish by many, but they can be quite edible if taken from clear water and cleaned properly. In Minnesota, commercial fishers harvest around a million pounds a year.

Bullhead catfish are native to North America east of the continental divide, from central Montana south to Texas and north into Canada through New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. They tolerate brackish and low-oxygen ponds, rivers, and lakes.
