The great white shark, also known as the white shark, white pointer, or great white, is a large shark. It is closely related to the mako sharks, the porbeagle, and the salmon shark.

The great white shark is a large apex predator of cool and temperate coastal waters worldwide, found off places like California, South Africa, and Australia. It ranges from the surface to deep water in pursuit of seals, sea lions, and fish.
