Mahi-mahi is a very popular grilled fish. The flesh is grey-white raw and cooks to an attractive white with a clean, mild flavor.

Mahi-mahi is a surface-dwelling fish of offshore temperate, tropical, and subtropical waters worldwide. It's most common around the Gulf of Mexico, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and the Indian Ocean.
