Description

Opah has rich, creamy flesh and is commonly served as sashimi or cut into steaks.

The opah is an open-ocean fish that lives at mesopelagic depths of 50 to 500 m. It's found worldwide across the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans in water around 8 to 22 degrees C, and migrates vertically through the day.
