Description
Sea bream is a well-regarded mild white fish, great grilled, roasted, or baked whole, and gilt-head bream is the standout for eating. Smaller sparids are often pan-fried.
Sea breams (family Sparidae) are over 150 species of fish in temperate and tropical coastal waters worldwide. They're mostly bottom-feeders on continental shelves, and a few tolerate brackish or fresh water.
