Description
The Sacramento splittail lives in the low-elevation waters of California's Central Valley and San Francisco Bay. It spends summer and fall in brackish water, then runs up into freshwater rivers and floodplains to spawn in winter and spring, and is now centered on the Sacramento Delta and Suisun Bay.
