Description
Barracuda is eaten as food and prized as a game fish, usually as fillets or steaks. West African cooks smoke it for soups, and Thai cuisine uses it in curry or steamed in banana leaves.
Barracudas are large, predatory marine fish of tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide, from the Atlantic and Red Sea to the Caribbean and Pacific. They stay near the surface around coral reefs and seagrass, and some species enter brackish water.
