Description
Rock hind is a small grouper that anglers eat, usually filleted and grilled, baked, or fried. It's a reef fish taken mostly by recreational and small-scale fishers.
The rock hind, Epinephelus adscensionis, is a grouper (family Serranidae) of rocky reefs in the western Atlantic and around islands like Ascension and St. Helena, including the Gulf of Mexico. It lives at depths from about 2 to 100 meters.
